Barton for Yes
We are locals in the Barton electorate working towards a resounding YES to an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament!
Join us as we share the invitation of the Uluru Statement to people across St George about walking hand in hand with Indigenous Australians, and support the work of our local member and the Minister for Indigenous, Linda Burney to achieve a Voice to Parliament.
More than half of Australians were born overseas, and Barton is a uniquely multicultural and diverse electorate. We need to work together with peoples of all faiths, cultures and diversities to unify our nation behind this campaign.
We invite people across Barton to work together, to understand and support the Yes vote.
We need individuals and groups to put their hands up to help with running street stalls and train station leafletting, letterboxing, and to help with pre-poll and polling booths on Referendum Day.
If you or your community are in the electorate of Barton and support the Yes vote – please complete the form. Barton for Yes needs a range of skills and talents to help spread the message about constitutional recognition.
Together we can make a real difference for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and our nation.
